เป็นหนังที่ผมอยากดูมาก แต่คงรอให้คนหมดก่อน จะได้ไม่ต้องไปเข้าคิว เพิ่งเข้าโรงอาทิตย์นี้ และกลายเป็นหนังทำรายได้อันดับหนึ่งไปแบบผิดคาด ทั้งๆที่จำนวนโรงฉายน้อยกว่าชาวบ้านเขา

เป็นหนังตลก เกี่ยวกับ Borat Sagdiyev นักข่าวชาว Kazakhstan มาผจญภัยในอเมริกา

หนังเรื่องนี้ได้รับความสนใจอย่างมาก เพราะเนื้อหาค่อนข้าง offensive ต่อประเทศ Kazakhstan คนยิว (Cohen เป็นคนยิวด้วย เลยรอดไป) และผู้หญิง แบบสุดๆ จนกระทรวงต่างประเทศ Kazakhstan ต้องออกมาประท้วงทางการทูต หลังจาก Cohen ไปเป็นพิธิกร MTV ในฐานะ Borat

Borat เลยได้ทีตอบโต้ ผ่านทางวีดีโอ บอกว่า

"In response to Mr. Ashykbayev's comments, I'd like to state I have no connection with Mr. Cohen and fully support my Government's decision to sue this Jew. Since the 2003 Tuleyakiv reforms, Kazakhstan is as civilized as any other country in the world. Women can now travel on inside of bus, homosexuals no longer have to wear blue hats, and age of consent has been raised to eight years old. Also, the government has now thrown the jew down the well, so their country can be free! Please, captain of industry; I invite you to come to Kazakhstan where we have incredible natural resources, hardworking labour, and some of the cleanest prostitutes in whole of Central Asia. Goodbye! Dzienkuje!"

ฟังแล้วกลุ้ม รัฐบาล Kazakhstan คงเพิ่งรู้สึกว่า ยิ่งมีเรื่องให้คนพูดถึงเท่าไรยิ่งเป็นการโปรโมตหนังให้ดังเข้าไปใหญ่ ก็เลยหยุดประท้วงหนังแล้วปล่อยเลยตามเลย หันมาโฆษณาประเทศแทน
